We DIG Community | Episode 9 | Cultivating Community w/ Adrienne Sherwood

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our first ever podcast - We Dig Community. Stay tuned for more episodes and please subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts!

We DIG Community tells the stories of the people and organizations behind our Service Made Social mission. In this episode, we speak to Adrienne Sherwood, longtime friend of Community Bucket and one of our Atlanta sponsors.

Adrienne is founder and lead agent at Cultivate Real Estate, where she helps people put down roots and become better neighbors through investing in their first home, and beyond. Adrienne has been involved in CB since the very first event, so she has seen the organization grow and evolve over the years. We are thrilled to have her company’s support for our work – their funding helps fuel greater impact and keep us sustainable, so we can keep the Bucket train running, and more importantly, thriving.

You may have the choice of many real estate agents when exploring the home buying or selling process, but we hands down can say Adrienne is top notch. We choose our partners carefully, finding people who share our values and our love for giving back locally. Adrienne is right up there on the list, and she’d love to hear from you if you’re a fan of CB.

We enjoyed our conversation with Adrienne and learning about how her passion for real estate emerged, and how she’s continued to build on that as she grows her business and cultivates stronger roots across the city.

We DIG Community | Episode 8 | COVID Crews w/ Hannah Dewey

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our first ever podcast - We Dig Community. Stay tuned for more episodes and please subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts!

We DIG Community tells the stories of the people and organizations behind our Service Made Social mission. In this episode we speak to Hannah Dewey, one of our local Host Team leaders in Denver.

Hannah stumbled upon Community Bucket in February 2020, and she was able to join us shortly before our events were halted during the Covid lockdowns. Fortunately, Hannah was able to keep getting involved during that time, leading a crew for our Impact Where You Live initiative last April & May. Given her professional focus on event marketing, Hannah was able to jump in and organize several events with our team, ranging from a fundraiser 5k to a virtual cooking class.

We enjoyed hearing from Hannah what it was like to find CB as a new volunteer and then get involved throughout the pandemic, why she keeps coming back and telling others to do the same, and what’s filling her time these days outside of work and Community Bucket. We hope you enjoy this conversation with Hannah Dewey!

We DIG Community | Episode 7 | FeedATL w/ Kelly Bradley

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our first ever podcast - We Dig Community. Stay tuned for more episodes and please subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts!

We DIG Community tells the stories of the people and organizations behind our Service Made Social mission. In this episode we speak to Kelly Bradley, the newest member of our staff and our Summer Program Manager.

Kelly joined our team in April, to help this Summer with our FeedATL initiative. Kelly has a unique background in both event management and nonprofits. She is deeply committed to her community and is a long-time believer in the power of people to make local change that lasts. Before joining us, she spearheaded an all-volunteer initiative to sew thousands of masks for frontline workers at the start of the pandemic.

In this episode, we speak to Kelly about what her early days in this new role have looked like, and we also dive into the details for what’s coming up with our FeedATL projects. Kelly is extremely knowledgeable about food and farming, having grown up in a farming family in Georgia. She will bring those insights to the events and help make the experiences memorable and meaningful for everyone. We hope you enjoy the energy and passion she brings to the conversation!
