We’re on a mission to grow the power of Community Bucket in the face of COVID-19
Social Distancing can’t stop us from serving our communities, and we are on a mission to expand our Service Made Social movement. As we adjust to new realities, we still believe in the power of personal connections and local impact, now more than ever.
This summer, we have a goal to raise $3,000 in each of our three cities – Atlanta, Austin and Denver. This will fund all our programming costs – virtual and safely in-person – for the summer months, including keeping our small staff employed to help drive our efforts forward.
When you donate to Community Bucket, you are contributing directly to causes in your local city and multiplying the impact of your dollar. Our communities are all strengthened through Service Made Social.
Let’s impact where we live, together!
Learn more about why donating to Community Bucket helps build up local communities
We make volunteering and building community easier for you, but that takes resources. Today, even with volunteer staff supporting some of our work, it costs more than $80,000 to operate for 1 full year across all of our cities. As we increase our events and expand to more locations, we will depend on even more donations to fund our growth.
When we mobilize volunteers, the hours of good deeds add up to increased capacity for our nonprofit partners. In fact, every hour of service contributes around $24 in value to a nonprofit. On average, we aim to turn every $1 we spend on programming into $3 of impact, The more you contribute, the more we can impact our communities!
Even with the changing realities of the post COVID-19 world, we believe our work can help transform lives. People desire a way to support the causes around them, and we deliver this alongside an added benefit of meeting like-minded friends through shared acts of doing good.
Tax Information: Community Bucket is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. All donations are tax-deductible where allowed by law.
It’s simple: Your donation helps us create more events, which provides opportunities for more volunteers, which serves more local nonprofits, which builds our communities.
It takes more than kindness to run our organization, and to ensure stellar events and experiences for every volunteer. We have to cover the cost of supplies for every project, fund our operating costs like insurance and administrative fees, and most importantly, pay our small staff living wages. As a new organization, we believe this is key to our success.
In addition to providing volunteers, we also make an effort to contribute financially to our local partner organizations. Therefore, a portion of your donation also goes directly back to the communities we serve
If you think your company would be interested in supporting Community Bucket through a donation, a company-specific volunteer event or even by helping spread the word about our events, we’d love an introduction. Email us at email@example.com with your name and details, and we’ll promptly reply!
