Global Growers & Mad Housers

Jul 09, 2016 : 09:00

It’s a better way to meet new people… Guaranteed.

Start your weekend off the right way with some Saturday morning volunteering on Saturday, July 9th. We’ll have projects with Mad Housers & Global Growers, so you can take your pick at constructing huts for the homeless or farming with refugees in Decatur. After a hot and rewarding morning, grab some lunch and a cold drink with your fellow volunteers.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Reserve your spot for the projects below (you must register to attend, since space is limited)
  2. Commit to showing up at the scheduled time to serve these local nonprofits
  3. If you’re feeling social, join us for food and drinks after we finish
  4. Tell your friends to join you, or come alone and meet new people. Either way, you’ll have a blast.
  5. We’ll send you information in a separate email a few days before the event, so stay tuned for that

Impact areas: Homelessness, Refugees, Urban Farming

Please only register if you know you can attend, as spots are limited and we do not like to disappoint our Community Partners with no-shows. If your plans change after you sign up, we ask that you let us know in advance so we can fill your spot. Thanks!
