June ATL Tech Gives Back

Jun 13, 2019 : 1:00PM

It’s a better way to meet new people in Atlanta… Guaranteed.

Summer is upon us and we are ready to put in sweat equity for ATL Tech Gives Back June 13th!

Two homegrown Atlanta organizations, Hypepotamus and Community Bucket, have fused the power of volunteering together with startups for Tech Gives Back. For any newcomers, Tech Gives Back is powered by Cox Enterprises and is perfect for anyone who works (or aspires to work) in the tech or startup ecosystem. If you give a damn about our city, this is the place for you! We work together to strengthen local nonprofits by volunteering with organizations who rely heavily on volunteer groups. Not only will you make a difference in the community, but you will do so while working alongside your startup peers.

For this event, we will work with our friends at Historic Westside Gardens and Good Samaritan Farm from 1-4PM. After the project we will gather at Second Self Beer for drinks and pizza from 4-6PM.

Rally your teammates, call up some colleagues, or just come alone… either way, you’ll be part of one strong and awesome community!

Here’s more details about the project partners we’ll be working with for the afternoon:

  • Historic Westside Gardens: Work in a garden that helps empower Westside neighbors through access to healthy and fresh food
  • Good Samaritan Farm: Planting and harvesting at an urban farm supporting Good Sam patients

Tickets are only $12, which includes:

  • Reserved spot in a seamlessly-run project with some of the finest organizations in our city
  • Snacks provided by our friends at Clif Bar
  • Supplies like sunscreen and bug spray during the service project
  • Beer and bites at a local brewery
  • Raffle with great prizes

So, what are you waiting for? We hope to see you on June 13th!

Thanks to the incredible sponsors who help make this possible.

Impact areas: Environment, Farming, Gardens, Urban Farming

Please only register if you know you can attend, as spots are limited and we do not like to disappoint our Community Partners with no-shows. If your plans change after you sign up, we ask that you let us know in advance so we can fill your spot. Thanks!
