May FeedATL Eastside

May 18, 2019 : 10:00AM

It’s a better way to meet new people… Guaranteed.

Spring has sprung and our May FeedATL Eastside project has arrived!

For our second installment of FeedATL Eastside, we will continue work at Global Growers and lend a helping hand at Wylde Center, two local urban farms in East Atlanta. After a morning of tending and nurturing crops we will head to Thinking Man Tavern to socialize and feast.

  • First, We Serve: Pick your favorite farm and help harvest plots for Spring. Projects begin at 10AM.
  • Then, We Socialize: After we finish up, we will head to Thinking Man Tavern fom 12-2PM.

Your Ticket Includes:

  • A morning of volunteering at Global Growers and Wylde Center
  • Snacks from our partner Clif Bar to keep you going throughout the morning
  • Supplies for the project
  • One beer and appetizers like wings, fried pickles, and more at Thinking Man Tavern

Here’s how it works:

  • Reserve your spot at one of the farms
  • Commit to showing up at the scheduled time
  • Join us at Thinking Man Tavern immediately after for some grub
  • Tell your friends to join you, or come alone and meet new people. Either way, you’ll have a blast.
  • We’ll send you all the details in a separate email a few days before the event, so stay tuned

We never want the cost to prevent you from signing up. If it is, please email Kristyn at kristyn@communitybucket.com and we can try to work with you.

Impact areas: Farming, Urban Farming, Urban Gardening

Please only register if you know you can attend, as spots are limited and we do not like to disappoint our Community Partners with no-shows. If your plans change after you sign up, we ask that you let us know in advance so we can fill your spot. Thanks!
