October Weekend of Good

Oct 14, 2017 to Oct 14, 2017

It’s a better way to meet new people in Atlanta… Guaranteed.

REGISTRATION OPENS ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 11TH!

Fall is the time to get outside, so that’s exactly what we have in store for the October Weekend of Good. Join us on Saturday, October 14th for a morning of volunteering filled with urban gardens, beautiful parks and … bikes. We have projects lined up with our friends at Concrete Jungle, Frazier Rowe Park, Free Bikes 4 Kids and Urban Fresh (part of Historic Westside Gardens), all of which rely almost exclusively on volunteers to fulfill their missions.  After a few hours of hard work, we’ll head to a nearby brewery to pay off our good deeds with some local beer and delicious food. It’s pretty much a perfect Saturday, so come see for yourself.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Reserve your spot for one of the projects before they fill up (spots are limited, see details below)
  2. Commit to showing up at the scheduled time – project times are 9am-12pm
  3. If you’re feeling social, stick around for lunch after we finish working
  4. Tell your friends to join you, or come alone and meet new people. Either way, you’ll have a blast.
  5. We’ll send you information in a separate email a few days before the event, so stay tuned

Impact areas: Environment, Food, Parks, Urban Gardening

Please only register if you know you can attend, as spots are limited and we do not like to disappoint our Community Partners with no-shows. If your plans change after you sign up, we ask that you let us know in advance so we can fill your spot. Thanks!
