Our first event of 2020! Come join Community Bucket with a morning of service at Kavod Senior Life, followed by a delicious brunch on site with the senior residents.

About our Nonprofit Partner

Kavod Senior Life provides a broad range of housing and support services to older adults in the Cherry Creek neighborhood. They are based on Jewish values but serve a diverse community mostly of adults 62 and older, and even some in their 100s.

What We’ll be Doing

We’ll start the morning visiting residents’ homes to lend a hand with light maintenance and fix-it projects. (Think: moving furniture, changing light bulbs, flipping mattresses, and hanging pictures) Nothing too difficult for us, but a huge help for these older adults living on their own!

After we finish working, we’ll join the residents for a catered brunch downstairs, as a chance to get to hear their stories and share encouraging smile with them. They’ll be ready to talk, so we hope you are too!

What to Expect

– Project will start at 9:30am, please arrive 15 minutes early to check in.

– We’ll break into pairs as we make our rounds to the residents’ homes.

– Brunch will begin around 12pm, and should wrap up by 1pm.

– Dress comfortably.
