CB ATL: FeedATL Summer Series Part II

FeedATL is a weekly program taking place all Summer long, made possible by our partnership with the Food Well Alliance. We will be working with a hand-picked cohort of urban farmers who work hard everyday to bolster Atlanta’s local food ecosystem.

For Part 2, we will head to Metro Atlanta Urban Farm in College Park for an action-packed morning that will leave you wanting more. You’ll learn about the important work this organization is doing to supply healthy and fresh food to local residents, you’ll get your hands dirty in the gardens, and you’ll get to meet like-minded folks in a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere.

For the service part…

For the first year ever, MAUF’s lead farmer is creating a full-blown Crop Maze to help build out opportunities for local youth education and engagement throughout the farming season. Fortunately for us, that requires a lot of work to make happen… We’ll be mulching, pruning, thinning, and even painting – all important tasks for this local farm!

To help us get grounded and settled into our natural surroundings, we’ll start the morning with a 30-minute guided practice in yoga, meditation and calm breathing.

Event will kick off at 9am and go until around 1pm.

For the social part… Tacos & Tie Dye

When we finish working in the afternoon, we’ll stick around the farm to chow down on some authentic tacos from a neighboring taqueria. Plus, we’ll have supplies to make tie-dye face masks, all using natural ingredients from the plants around us.

Ready to sign up?

With space being limited, we do ask that you register if you plan to attend. It’s free to participate, and you are welcome to make a donation at checkout if you’re able. These funds help us cover extra programming expenses and keep our events top-notch for everyone.

Your ticket will include the morning yoga session led by a professional instructor, tacos for lunch, and all the supplies for the tie-dye activity in the afternoon. That's the Service Made Social way!
