An Initiative Powered By Community Bucket

Social distancing won’t stop us from serving. Isolation shouldn’t mean feeling alone. Join our initiative to be a good citizen, connect with others, and impact where you live!

3 Themes. 3 Cities. 3 Months.

Each month this Summer, we will choose a Give Back Theme to direct our collective efforts towards the greater good. You can choose to attend small-group projects supporting local nonprofits, or take part in some at-home service opportunities built around these themes. Together, we can keep our mission alive as we respect the new realities of COVID-19.

June's Theme: FLOURISH

Do you feel closed-in from the pandemic? Hidden within our spaces is room to grow.

This month, you can spend time and intention on flourishing within your current surroundings. Throughout June, take to the outdoors to help our natural environments bloom and our local farms to flourish. All the while, hold space to cultivate a stronger sense of self during this difficult time.

How to Get Involved

Social Distance Volunteering

We’re finally getting back together, but only in small groups, in the outdoors and with extra precautions to spare. Choose from a handful of events happening in your city this month, and let’s be social(ly distant) again!

Support Your Local Farm

Visit a nearby farm stand, sign up for a CSA program, or write a letter to your local farmer. We’re calling on our community to go support your invaluable farms and food gardens all month long.

Share Your Good Deeds

Share your impact with us on Instagram using the hashtag #servicemadesocial. You can see what other community members are up to by following us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter (@communitybucket) all Summer long.

Support Your Local Farm Program

We have spent the past few weeks digging into some amazing urban farm programs to find three that stand out as the best for your community.

There are so many more options out there, so if the one we’ve recommended in your city isn’t a good fit, we encourage you to continue the search. We’d love to hear about what you find.

Community Bucket is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. We have chapters in Atlanta, Austin, and Denver (with plans to expand). We are on a mission to connect like-minded neighbors who share a passion for giving back and having fun.

We call it Service Made Social!

When you give to us, your dollar and volunteer power go farther. Help us continue supporting individuals who are dedicated to serving their communities as we all get through COVID-19 together.
