We are thrilled to announce the launch of our first ever podcast - We Dig Community. Stay tuned for more episodes and please subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts!
We DIG Community tells the stories of the people and organizations behind our Service Made Social mission. In this episode, we speak to Brad Reubendale, the Executive Director of SAME Cafe in Denver, CO.
Brad is the energetic and passionate leader of SAME Cafe, Denver’s first nonprofit restaurant. Their donation-based, fair exchange model ensures everyone can enjoy this healthy, locally sourced and chef-crafted food, regardless of ability to pay.
Brad sheds light on his own personal journey, shares the story behind SAME Cafe and explains how we arrived there in his professional career. Also, we discuss the connection between food and community, along with the importance of dignity and respect in the nonprofit sector. You’ll love all the nuggets of insight and wisdom that Brad has to offer!
Community Bucket Denver has partnered with SAME Cafe in the past, and many of our local farming partners actually supply produce to their kitchens. We are proud to support this local organization reimagining the restaurant space and innovating new solutions to food access.
